Jacopo La Nasa (1987) award a master degree cum
laude in Analytical Chemistry at University of
Pisa in 2011 with a thesis on the characterization
and ageing of synthetic resins used in
contemporary art by gas chromatographic and
spectroscopic analysis whose results were
presented at numerous international conferences
He focused his PhD studies on the characterization
of modern lipid material and low molecular weight
synthetic resins using different multi-analytical
approaches based on LC-MS, GC/MS and Py-GC/MS.
He graduated in 2015 with a thesis title
“Development of innovative analytical tools based
on chromatography and mass spectrometry for the
characterization and ageing studies of modern
materials in artworks”.
